Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you head to the beach.

Is the Pensacola Beach Air Show free?

Yes. General beach viewing, including the Casino Beach show center, is free and open to the public — no ticket required. Some waterfront restaurants and hotels sell separate premium viewing packages with food, shade, and reserved seating.

What time do the Blue Angels fly?

The Blue Angels are expected to close the show at about 2 p.m. on Friday's dress rehearsal and Saturday, July 17's official show, flying for roughly 45 minutes, as in recent years. Thursday's practice show is Blue Angels only, also around 2 p.m. The 2027 times haven't been released yet and can shift for weather or operational needs — see the full schedule.

Where is the best place to watch?

Casino Beach is the official show center and has the best sightlines for the main aerobatic box. Quietwater Beach, nearby waterfront restaurants, and hotel balconies also offer strong views with less need to claim sand hours early. See the full viewing spot guide.

Is there a livestream?

Hellcat Productions, LLC has streamed the Blue Angels performance online in past years for fans watching from home. Check their channels close to show day for the current stream link.

Can I fly a drone or kite at the air show?

No. Drones and kites are strictly prohibited once flight demonstrations begin and must stay grounded until the Blue Angels have finished flying. A drone detected within five miles of the restricted airspace can force an immediate halt to the show, and operators can face felony charges.

What should I bring to the beach?

Sunscreen, a hat, plenty of water, a light rain layer, and cash or a card for the trolley. See the full weather and pack list guide. Glass containers are not allowed on the beach.

How bad is the traffic, really?

Friday and Saturday are typically the heaviest traffic days of the year on Pensacola Beach, especially at the Bob Sikes Toll Plaza. The free SRIA/ECAT trolley network is the easiest way to avoid parking stress — see the traffic & parking guide.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are only permitted at Pensacola Beach's designated dog beaches and must remain on a leash — not at the main show center on Casino Beach.

Where are the Blue Angels based?

The Blue Angels are stationed at Forrest Sherman Field aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, which is why Pensacola Beach is considered their hometown show.
